December, Scalloped.
Good: Lots of free food on the ship, lots of activities, Disc Golf tournament happened (we're told that if the tournament hadn't come on board, we'd've skipped the private island; the water conditions were borderline of being able to set the lil tender boats alongside to get on/off the ship/island) & Slith got second in his division (a first for him to place where he gets a prize), fun room attendant (a great improvement over last year), and always-ready-to-please maître d' & assistant waiters, we won lots of other little things, and general funstuff (Lots of little interesting tidbits, but this is a long post already).
Bad: Our table waiter was not attentive and otherwise unpleasant (to the point we had a new waiter on the last night); we couldn't afford any photos; the one thing we did buy to remember the cruise, the DVD, was a waste of money (skimped out on stuff on the island; didn't use footage where t & the shoulder dragon wearing life vest was taken; some of the 'filler' stuff used repetitive verbiage, imagery, or both; didn't use even half of the disc space); and some of the on-ship purchases didn't show up on our account until just before midnight of the last night we were staying on the ship (very inconvenient when paying CASH ONLY with no credit cards on hand or checkbooks to bounce [these were not brought on board for a reason!])
A few days later the commercialized day advertising the wrong day as the birthday of someone long dead occurred, and a couple more gifts befell upon t's while Slith got enough requiring more than 2 arms; food was scrumptious, though!
And now 2008 continues with us at home. …… Did you ask, "Back to normal?" Normal!? Haa! Where have you been?

Beginning:
Lets see, what happened. Well, we went on a cruise, despite the lack of well-wishers to the posts made as we got ready to set sail. It had its ups and downs (no, I don't mean the water was that choppy).Good: Lots of free food on the ship, lots of activities, Disc Golf tournament happened (we're told that if the tournament hadn't come on board, we'd've skipped the private island; the water conditions were borderline of being able to set the lil tender boats alongside to get on/off the ship/island) & Slith got second in his division (a first for him to place where he gets a prize), fun room attendant (a great improvement over last year), and always-ready-to-please maître d' & assistant waiters, we won lots of other little things, and general funstuff (Lots of little interesting tidbits, but this is a long post already).

Late:
t'sC's bday occurred with little given, upon which night, after work, Slith's work's holiday party was hosted. We went; we tried to eat and were told to go to the other (far) end of the doubled-up XL ballroom, got portions on plates smaller than that which you would put toast on in the morning (if you had plates that size from the TV commercials). However, there was live music of a decent quality, most of the food was tasty, if often obscure or minuscule, lots of games outside the ballroom and 2 free bar-service drinks per person! That included everything from soda to booze; only thing that was free was hot cocoa, hot tea, and coffee. Not long after the rest of the food stations opened up than our seats were taken by others wanting to sit at our table. It was way too crowded for those in our party so we boogied out, for there was yet work the next day.A few days later the commercialized day advertising the wrong day as the birthday of someone long dead occurred, and a couple more gifts befell upon t's while Slith got enough requiring more than 2 arms; food was scrumptious, though!
End:
Then came the last moments of the year! We enjoyed ourselves at a DVC resort 12/31/2006 for the year-end festivities and so we made arrangements to return. Our luck got us a room in the building adjacent to primary party, though our window faced away from the fireworks. More food was begotten, t's won a 3D puzzle out of a $1 game of Bingo, and fireworks were enjoyed. t'sC insists the display was more spectacular last year, though. After this, the organizers realized they still had one prize bag to give out for the night and said they'd ask 1 trivia question. Slith near broke his knuckles when he shot his hand up before the guy finished his question regarding the opening day of WDW's MK, which Slith had attended in his youth. And now 2008 continues with us at home. …… Did you ask, "Back to normal?"
