Question on fursuit businesses-
After watching people come and go with their businesses in fursuit making, a thought crossed my mind...(Despite I have no intention of starting a business myself.) As far as business licenses go... how does that go about? As in, how much of a necessity is it to have, and whether or not it makes a difference for how much of a gross is made from this personal business of sorts and so on...

Importance of Drugs and Therapists :D
I'm doing well. I'm on a drug called Wellbutrin to try and help with the serious depression I keep returning to every few months. I'm taking the drug while also talking with a therapist so that I can easily work through the emotions as my body adjusts the the chemical change. Wellbutrin is also said to help ADD patients gain focus. I feel that depression is an all to easy human condition that anyone can lapse into, and if not taken care of soon it could create cycles difficult to pull oneself out of. It's an embarrassing and frustrating disease, but treatable with therapy and medication. If there is someone out there who is struggling, then I hope they read this and understand that good recommended therapists can go a long way towards helping you. My depression is linked to the serious spinal surgeries I had as a child, and the shy personality I developed in school. I've allowed myself to lapse into a cycle of depression and inattentive lack of energy ... hurting several friends, and frustrating many more. My brain chemistry became use to a continuous cycle of negative emotions that I torment myself with. It's my hope that with an anti-depressant, therapy can help train my mind to recognize warning signs and run on a more stable cycle of emotions. I'm wanting most of all to thank those I've talked to over the last few months to help straighten my head out. Also I wanted to thank those I pissed off in the last few months for sticking to our friendships. And I want to thank the Medicine Shoppe for not realizing that I've switched insurance companies and keeping my prescription hostage for half a week. Thank you all :3 Current Mood:  anxious |

Bluuuue fur! 4 yards left. Very pretty.
Hey guys, to those that were looking for that blue fur I used in my auction (now closed) I just went to the store and they had some still! I got 6 4 yards of the fabric since it seemed like a few of your were really interested. I was able to get it for 25$ a yard, so that is what I'm going to offer it to you guys as! I think they have some more as well, but they won't have it for much longer. If you would really like some more, then I might be able to get it for ya. Also, not sure if I should post this in fursuit auctions or not. :O Now a free for all! Oh, almost forgot to mention the specs of the fur. Pile is 1 inch, it is NOT tipped. The colors go all the way to the backing. It is soft, but not as soft as DF's stuff. MonocerosMedia taking a break this year
Just to officially mention it in the journal: I'm not going to run the photoshoot this year at FC. Kyreeth is doing it solo this time around. Between my back issues of late and the unknown new hotel I figure it's just a good year to take a break from photography things. That's not to say that I won't bring the camera and snag random photos; just no huge studio setup for me this time around. I've never actually just attended FurtherConfusion; I've always worked it instead. The first year I hosted the Yerf! party, and I've been running a photoshoot every year since. Next year my idea is to attend as a media services dealer instead of a photographer. By then I should have convention-portable versions of the laser engraving and fine art printing gear. My idea is to be able to do fine-art level prints for artists and attendees directly at the convention, as well as sell both wooden and metal tags (no plastics, though, due to the scent they generate during cutting) made-to-order. It's a more fun place I'd like to take Monoceros Media than just the portrait-studio work. My goal would be to make it reliable enough that artists could depend on me to be able to print work at-con if they couldn't travel with it, both for art-show quality stuff and print sales. Of course, if any photographer-type wants to hook up with me and run a photo booth while we run the software/storage/printing ends behind it (an expansion of what we've done in past years), I'd love to hear from you; we could use a good cameraman! And yes, I'd let you use my camera gear, though you'd still need to rent flashes/backdrop (which I can assist with). ~~~~Another side question. If I could find a way to bring just the mega-printer this year, would anybody make use of it? Or do you think it'd be better to just leave it home this time and try just being a normal con-goer instead? |

Bodysuit and jackal/zerg partial for sale
Sorry, I know I posted up the jackal zerg partial., but I got a pic of my bodysuit too. It might need fixing at the arms, but can fit a 5'8 person 140-160lbs. zipper in the back. Im selling it for 60. Its cheap.  The jackal partial is on furbid and it's quite nice for my first fursuit. the feetpaws are size 8 in womens, the head fits 20"(I can try to make it a bit bigger...)with a movable jaw. the eyes are made from sunglasses and will need a spritz of anti fogging spray.The hands are comfortably made from foam and gloves.
